Explore the wonders of Valencia in the best possible way—by car!
Renting a car is the most convenient way to explore the stunning beaches on the Mediterranean coast of Spain.
Valencia Airport (VLC), also known as Manises Airport, is located about 8 kilometres west of the city centre of Valencia.
Traffic in and around Valencia is manageable, though navigating the one-way streets in the city centre can pose a challenge. To ease your journey and ensure a stress-free experience, all Liigu cars are equipped with navigation systems. For city driving, we recommend renting a smaller car, as it simplifies parking. If you're planning to visit the beaches near Valencia or explore other sights in Spain, opting for an SUV or a larger vehicle can enhance your travel comfort.
Some driving regulations in Spain are good to know in advance. Firstly, when heading to the beach, avoid parking close to the sand. Parking in areas under environmental protection can lead to substantial fines. Secondly, driving without a shirt, barefoot, in flip-flops, or with one hand or arm outside the vehicle is not permitted. The Spanish police usually do not accept excuses from tourists. So, if you're driving, save your flip-flops for the beach.
The speed limit in urban areas across Spain is typically 50 km/h. The motorways have a maximum speed limit of 120 km/h, and the rural roads have a speed limit of 90 km/h.
