Renting a car with the Liigu app—how does it work?
It’s like having your own car waiting for you at Málaga Airport!
Málaga Airport (AGP) is located approximately 8 kilometres southwest of Málaga's city centre.
With Liigu, there's no need to visit a car rental desk. You'll only need your smartphone to find the car and start your rental—we'll provide all the necessary directions. Most of the arrivals at Málaga Airport are directed into Terminal 3. So after landing, you can head straight to the parking lot and drive away!
Need a car at Málaga railway station or in the city centre? We've got you covered. Liigu cars are equipped with automatic transmission, making navigating the charming but crowded streets easier.
Travelling with family? We've got child seats for a safe journey with your little ones. Well-behaved pets are welcome too. All our rental cars are carefully cleaned and disinfected. Additionally, for unexpected changes of plans, we offer free cancellation until 24 hours before your pick-up.
Discover the south of Spain in the best possible way—by car!
Car rental is the most convenient way to discover the South of Spain and the stunning beaches along the Costa del Sol.
The Málaga region is a popular tourist destination. Therefore, we encourage you to set aside more time for road trips, especially during the summer. You should also be mindful of rush hour traffic in and around Málaga, typically from 8:30 to 9:30am, 1:30 to 3:00pm, and 7:00 to 9:00pm, when traffic jams are more common. The historical centre of Málaga is car-free, and street parking in the area is limited. To save the time and hassle of looking for a parking space, we recommend using public car parks, although they can sometimes be quite expensive. If you plan to drive to the famous Caminito del Rey walkway and beaches near Málaga, renting an SUV or a more spacious car for your comfort is a good idea.
The speed limit in urban areas across Spain is typically 50 km/h, on motorways it's 120 km/h, and on rural roads, it's 90 km/h. Even though locals may tend to drive fast and occasionally run a red light, it's wise to adhere to speed limits near Málaga. Exceeding the limits by even a small amount can result in significant fines.
