The best way to explore the wonders of Valencia? By car!

Car rental is the most convenient way for discovering the stunning beaches on the Mediterranean coast of Spain.

Traffic in and around Valencia is not hard to cope with but driving on the one-way streets in the city center can be challenging. To help you focus on the road and make your trip as stress-free as possible, we take care of the navigation systems in all Liigu cars. If you mainly drive in the city, we recommend renting a smaller car. It makes parking easier. If you plan to drive to the beaches near Valencia or visit other sights in Spain, it’s a good idea to rent an SUV or a more spacious car for your comfort.

Some driving regulations in Spain are good to know in advance. First, when going to the beach, avoid parking near the sand. If the area happens to be under environmental protection, parking there can result in a very high fine. Second, in Spain it is not allowed to drive without wearing a shirt, being barefoot, wearing flip-flops, or one hand or arm outside the vehicle. The Spanish police typically don’t accept excuses from tourists, so if you’re driving, keep your flip-flops for the beach.

The speed limit in urban areas across Spain is typically 50 km/h (31 mph). The motorways have a maximum speed limit of 120 km/h (75 mph) and the rural roads — 90 km/h (55 mph).
